Iraq
There have been two Building the Future leadership programmes for young Iraqis, in 2008 and 2010.
These were delivered by BAX in partnership with Kubba Foundation an organisation promoting education, health and civil society in Iraq.
This was a pilot scheme of a BAX Building the Future programme planned from 2007 in partnership with the Iraqi Kubba Foundation. Building the Future has a focus on leadership and community-building training.
The main purpose of these visits was to provide opportunities for the Iraqi delegates and their hosts to learn from each other’s experiences, challenges and heritages, and to develop strategies and skills to support the work of reconstruction in Iraq now and in the years ahead.
